Peter Rigby

Peter Rigby, founder and Managing Director, brings a deep analytical authority as a trusted expert who has developed enviable and successful solutions in change-driven environments.

 

Prior to forming Stanhope Reed Rigby Advisory, Peter led initiatives at Standard & Poor's to develop and use quantitative models to analyze financial and securities data, including text mining and sentiment analysis of unstructured data, to support credit ratings and risk analytics.  At S&P, he helped launch the project finance ratings practice and worked on over $200 billion of power, energy and infrastructure projects.  He was also the primary author of the project finance debt rating criteria.  He has spoken or testified to regulatory agencies and Congress and hundreds of industry and academic audiences on energy, power and the capital markets.

 

Previously, at Putnam, Hayes and Bartlett, an economic and management consulting firm, he worked on energy and environmental policy, expert testimony, and strategy engagements for major oil companies, electric utilities, pipelines, independent power companies and governments, including the restructuring of state-owned industries in Western Europe and the former Soviet Union.
